Its been a minuet since I last wrote, been going through somethings. I am know an evacuee of Hurricane Ida. Never in a million years did I think I would find myself living in New Orleans, but to loose everything that was built in literally a sweep of a storm. Then there is all these lies and controversy surrounding the lights and what exactly happened during this storm.

Any one knows…

Any one knows that when it comes to New Orleans and any storm, it’s not good. It literally floods there after 30–45 minuets of rain, so naturally when they announced this storm was coming I knew to leave immediately. I’m just thankful that I had the resources to leave. Though, with all this going on you’re hearing many different reports. My house in New Orleans isn’t inhabitable and was one of the areas that went through the worst of it. Of course this is nothing to what LaPlace is going through currently, which is currently flooded. Reports of levees having slow breeches, and the entire New Orleans power grid is down. Right now, the city is exposed and it seems like they are trying their hardest to cover up whats going on.

Why you ask? In my opinion, the problems that the city is having currently should have been fixed after Katrina. You can drive around the city and will see evidence of Hurricane Katrina til this day. Its like the city had a band-aid on and all Hurricane Ida did was rip it off and rip the scab off and now the city is bleeding again. Though why so many mixed reviews, can we move forward with some honesty and get the city back working?

Or are we just going to say we are doing things and don’t actually weatherize that electrical grid leaving this open to happen again.
